Malgorzata Godlewska

Malgorzata Godlewska studied at the Royal Academy of Music London with Joy Mammen on a two year Postgraduate Vocal Studies course that she completed in 2009.  She previously studied at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw, where she gained her Master of Arts in Vocal Studies in 2007. 

During the period 2003-2007 she was a Principal with the Warsaw Chamber Opera and a freelance singer for Polish TV and Radio.  In 2008 she was awarded a Polish Government Scholarship for further postgraduate study.

During this period she had Vocal Master Classes with Elisabeth Erlingsdottir, Diane Forlano, Kaludi Kaludov, Anthony Legge and Wlodzimierz Zalewski.

Her operatic performances include Sara in Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux, Ulrica in Ballo in Maschera, Anna in Les Troyens, Suzuki in Madame Butterfly, Penelope in Monteverdi’s Il ritorno di Ulisses, Romeo in Bellini’s I Capuletti e Montecchi.   Her oratorio roles include Bach Magnificat Cantata BMV80 – Ein feste Burg ist unser Gott, Mozart Missa Brevis in D minor, Brahms Alto Rhapsody, Szymanowski Contralto role from Demeter and Stabat Mater, Vivaldi Magnificat.  With Warsaw Chamber Opera she has sung Mozart’s Ascanio in Alba, Seraglio, Cosi fan Tutti, Zauberflote, Don Giovanni, Clemenza di Tito, Figaro, Lucio Silla and Scripione as well as Janacek’s Jenufa.

Her languages include English, German and Italian and she was a member of the Song & Dance Ensemble of “Warmia” at the University of Warsaw.
