Welsh Soprano Mari Wyn Williams is a Graduate of The Wales International Academy of Voice where she studied with the International Tenor Dennis O’Neill.
Mari recently performed the roles of: Lady Macbeth from Macbeth by Verdi for Mid Wales Opera, Ellen Oford from Peter Grimes for the Kensington Symphony Orchestra, Woglinde from Das Rheingold and Götterdämmerung for Longborough Festival Opera, Musetta from La Boheme by Puccini for Mid Wales Opera, Fiordiligi from Cosi Fan Tutte for Swansea City Opera, The title role in Tosca for Opera project at the Tobacco Factory in Bristol, Helmwige from Die Walküre for Grange Park Opera, Woglinde from Götterdämmerung for The Mastersingers, and a Flower Maiden from Parsifal for Saffron Opera Group.
Competition success includes: Third place at the Montserrat Caballe Competition in Zaragoza in 2013, Finalist at the London Wagner competition, Finalist at the Elizabeth Connell competition in Sydney in 2016. Mari is also the recipient of The Mastersingers' Carole Rees Scholarship 2018.
Upcoming engagements include Woglinde in Longborough Festival Opera’s Der Ring des Nibelungen and Senta from Der fliegende Holländer by Wagner for Persona Arts.
